Summary
Repair forklifts, industrial sweeper/scrubbers, and personnel carriers.
Essential Functions
Take dispatch direction from Service Manager on responding to service calls at customer locations. Travel to location, communicate with customer about the nature of their equipment need, evaluate and diagnose problem, complete repair or order necessary parts, communicate status to customer verbally and write details associated with the repair on the work order.
Other Functions
Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to identify complex mechanical problems and review related service information to develop a corrective action plan to complete the repair.
- Able to do occasional lifting (75 pounds) and work both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Must be able to safely operate lift trucks, and have an acceptable driving record that meets the requirements of our insurance provider.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers (verbally and in writing).
- Capable of utilizing a laptop or tablet for completing work orders and checklists, diagnostic troubleshooting, basic computer knowledge for email and internet based E-learning portal and accessing service information.
Experience
Prior experience working on industrial, construction, agricultural equipment or automotive preferred.
